PAYMENT OF CLASS FEES POLICY: Class fees save you a place in a class at a certain place and time. Full class fee must be paid to register for class. All class fees are non-refundable. Please sign up and pay only after you have decided to make attending the lessons a priority. EXCEPTION: Class fees are refundable (less a $45 Registration and Class Preparation Instruction Fee) if we are notified in writing 30 or more calendar days before the first class meeting. If canceling 15 days before the first class but less than 30 days you may receive 50% of the class fee if we are notified in writing (less a $45 Class Preparation Instruction Fee). There will be no refund if notification is less than 15 days prior to the first class. Any request for a refund must be in writing stating the reasons (with documentation as applicable) you feel a refund may be warranted. The decision to override policy shall not be made lightly and is final according to the decisions of the company.
RESCHEDULE A COURSE: If you or a child is registered for a course but you desire to move to another course at the same level the request must be in writing and be submitted 15 days or longer in advance. (There will be a $20 administrative fee) No changes will be allowed less than 14 days prior to the first lesson.
MAKE UP POLICY: Swim lessons should be made a priority in your child's life. Skipping lessons are not good for your child and are not fair for the other children in class who have to wait while the instructor tries to catch the child who was absent up. Lessons are progressive in nature where a student's success depends upon being exposed to each class in sequence. Due to the abuses in the past, we can have NO GUARANTEE A MAKEUP WILL BE AVAILABLE. If there is an emergency situation where the student cannot attend class, you may fill out a makeup request form. If we are notified prior to the class to be missed your request will be a priority. THERE IS A CHARGE OF $8 FOR EACH MAKEUP GRANTED - NO EXCEPTIONS. Payment method must be included with the request BUT WILL NOT BE CHARGED UNLESS A SUITABLE MAKEUP IS AGREED UPON. We cannot guarantee any makeup will be available-no matter the reason for the missed class.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: We do not cancel classes
because of weather. Usually a storm will blow over in 10 to 15 minutes. Often
there will be a terrible storm in one area and the weather will be clear in
another. We have been told by experts that lightning would never strike the pool
because of the size and the number of trees around the pool. We will stop the
class and evacuate the pool if we see lightning and resume once deemed the storm
has passed... If we are not able to have a class session due to the weather it
is considered beyond our control (Act of God) and will not be made up at a later
date.
If possible and practical we will try to schedule an extra class if a class is
totally not held due to the weather (however we cannot guarantee we will be able
to have an additional class.). Individuals who do not come to class for weather
reasons will not be eligible for individual make up classes.
CUSTOM SCHEDULE: If a conflict was announced at registration by the parent and an alternate class was agreed upon and put in writing prior to registration (a custom schedule), there is no fee for this custom schedule that was made prior to registration. We will honor our pledge to provide the proper class for your child. There is a $25 returned check fee and a $50 fee for credit card charge backs on a legitimate credit card billing according to the provisions of this contract. Any legal bills and fees accrued by the company to enforce this contract will be borne totally by student or his/her parents or guardians.
